Eat 'Em Up Tigers

Clay & I took our kids to their first major league baseball game recently.

Remember I mentioned their obsession with Teen Beach Movie? Well the Detroit Tigers had a special kids game featuring the movie. They had a tent teaching dance moves and stuff, and well, who could resist that?

Nope, I did not spend $28 for a digital download of myself and my kids on the carousal.  Em's hair is all in her eyes and Narls is making his version of a "tiger" face, so I passed on purchasing. Semi cute one of me though, so I saved & posted.

The Tigers lost but it was all good because we had a blast ♥

End of Summer Randomness

So we totally bought a snow cone maker.
And we've used it a ton this summer.
Pro tip: Add vodka to the adult's cones; it's magical.

Disregard Em's blackish eyes; she's on an experimenting with makeup kick and has yet to master the eye shadow application.

You know what's been on steady repeat in the Church house? Disney's Teen Beach Movie. My kids are obsessed.

The soundtrack has been on steady repeat in the car, as well. I feel like we should be much more embarrassed than we actually are stuntin' around town jammin' to Cruisin' for a Bruisin' but we're totally not. Weird.

I think the biggest summer news though is this kid. Riding a two wheeled bike. Without training wheels. That's major stuff right there.

The Richards' Wedding

Clay and I had the honor of being in our very dear friends' wedding. Ian and Amanda are incredibly beautiful people, inside and out, and together they make a perfect couple. We have been with them since the beginning and we've watched their friendship grow into this dynamic relationship, and now we were at their sides as they exchanged their wedding vows.

Some highlights of their flawless wedding weekend:

Chambray & lace for the rehearsal dinner, and a night-before-the-wedding celebration with just the bridal party in a hotel room playing our most favorite game ever, Cards Against Humanity.

Getting ready with the girls before the wedding and consuming seven bottles of champagne with "just a splash of orange juice for color".
Wonderfully perfect favors, like these retro Faygo bottles on the tables.

The beautiful bride and her proud daddy, minutes before he walked her down the aisle.

And some absolutely amazing wedding shots.

It was perfect from start to finish.
We love you, Mr & Mrs Richards ♥

Summer Tradition: Blueberry Picking

It was a beautiful summer day so the Church family did something we absolutely love to do: pick blueberries.

We also fed a couple goats, and grabbed some wine.
All in a day's trip.
 Fun.

Last summer, I made a blueberry mojito that was to die for. This year, I baked up some blueberry banana bread...

and the most perfect blueberry crisp. Good lord blueberries make everything more amazing.

Feel free to print out the recipes, they're the perfect addition to your recipe box.

JT and Jay Z Legends of Summer Concert

Since we say Beyonce a couple of weeks ago, it is only fitting that we'd see her husband when he came to town.

He was putting on a little concert with his bff, Justin Timberlake.

It was an intimate show, only 42,000 of our closest friends.

We had floor seats.

And it was amazing.

Life's A Beach

Sunday the kids and I spent the day at the beach with my college sorority sisters and their children. And it was perfect. The sun was shining. The water was beautiful. The kids played great together. And my friends and I talked and laughed and caught up. I cannot tell you what a great feeling it is to still have these women in my life. Girls who have known me since before I was a mom. Who get to see my kids grow up. Whose kids are growing up with my kids.  It makes my heart happy.

Endless Summer

Dear summer,

please never end.
