these things feed my soul.

Ren Fest Overload

 

So we usually hit up the renaissance festival each year.

This year? We went three times.

THREE.

 

Once a year is like the perfect amount; two is pushing it and three is almost painful.

 

Clay and I went once, then another time with family, and then another time with my friends. That's how much we love our family and friends - enough to engage in the Ren Fest Trifecta.

Summer Time Fine

Labor day is just a few days away. And even though the official first day of fall is still weeks away, I'm pretty sure everyone considers this the unofficial end of summer. We have a family vacation that we're leaving for tomorrow morning and that will be our last hurrah. Overall, we've had a great summer. It's been quiet, but good.

 

We've kept busy with picnics in the park,

 

and random events throughout town like pottery painting and chemistry experiments and 

kiddo comedy & magic shows.

 

The kids did two weeks at Camp Copenconic,

 

and Narls took some science classes at the Planetarium.

 

We had a a week-long soccer clinic for Narls and a two-day poms clinic for Em.

 

And lots & lots of fun days with friends.

Raspberry Pickin'

 

 

 

Such a beautiful afternoon spent with friends raspberry picking at our favorite orchard.

So thankful to have these girls and these kiddos in my life.

Weekend Fun

The best weekends are those that are filled with friends and family, with food & drinks, with laughs and happy times, where you wake up on Sunday morning feeling both exhausted and refreshed.

The Richards' Wedding

Clay and I had the honor of being in our very dear friends' wedding. Ian and Amanda are incredibly beautiful people, inside and out, and together they make a perfect couple. We have been with them since the beginning and we've watched their friendship grow into this dynamic relationship, and now we were at their sides as they exchanged their wedding vows.  

 

Some highlights of their flawless wedding weekend:

Chambray & lace for the rehearsal dinner, and a night-before-the-wedding celebration with just the bridal party in a hotel room playing our most favorite game ever, Cards Against Humanity.

 Getting ready with the girls before the wedding and consuming seven bottles of champagne with "just a splash of orange juice for color".

 Wonderfully perfect favors, like these retro Faygo bottles on the tables.

 The beautiful bride and her proud daddy, minutes before he walked her down the aisle.

And some absolutely amazing wedding shots. 

It was perfect from start to finish.
