February's Favorite Things

Dang, the end of the month already? February's only-28-days is totes throwing me off. If you're new to the blog, then you're in for a treat with this post. Ok, not really. It's just a photo dump with my attempt at witty captions. It's kind of a monthly thing I like to do. Do you do something similar? Link me! I love pretty peektures.

Valentine's pictures that are suitable for posting. If you read this post, then you totally get it.

Doing Fat Tuesday all wrong: in a spinning class with a great song.

Why I'm late for work every morning. Seriously, there is no better breakfast date than my daughter.

Monthly Girls' Dinner at Mandy's. She just moved into a beautiful new home and all her wine glasses were still packed up. Her husband had to take the wine cork out with a screw driver, bless his heart.

Puppy Bowl >>> Super Bowl.

Waiting for yoga to start.

February Ipsy bag.

Studs. 'Nuff said.

Collecting flair & building shit.

My baby brother's first Snowcoming Dance. Sigh. I can't with this kid's growing.

Speaking of growing, our Lainey girl turned one on Monday. Happy birthday sweet girl (yup, she's 100% grown on me). She and Narls are still tight. I used to be the recipient of his love notes, but now the dog is as evidenced in his Valentine Poster hanging at school. All the other kids wrote about their parents, Narls wrote about his dog. (This is Lainey's winning face.)
More love notes. "I love the dog that once in a while she poops in the house." Em, however, does not still love that dog that once in a while she destroys her favorite stuffed unicorn. (This is Lainey's shame face.)

  6. STUDS STUDS STUDS....I have yet to meet something studded I didn't like. And as someone who works in the fashion biz, I can tell you they are holding on strong as a trend all the way into 2014 :-P

    1. Four girls I graduated high school with and I have been having our monthly dinners for about four years now :) Luckily we all live within a half-hour of each other, so we rotate: that month's host makes the main dish, and we each bring a dish: side, appetizer, dessert, and drink. We catch up, our babies play together, it's great ♥

    1. I LOVED IT TOO. I made it for my 6-yo son's lunch to take to school and he was bummed because he wanted hot lunch. Apparently heart-shaped pb&js can't compete with mini chocolate-chip pancakes ;)

  11. You spin and do yoga? No wonder you look so good! lol I've been putting off starting my 30 day shred DVD for a long time. lol That's so cute that you have breakfast with your daughter in the morning! I'd love to do that when I have kids. :) That Ipsy bag looks fantastic! I signed up when it originally was released (as Glam Bag) but had to cancel because they didn't have the capacity to change a payment option. (I switched bank accounts) When I canceled and tried to resign up, there was a waitlist! So I gave up and about 2 weeks ago decided to sign up for the waitlist because I miss getting them! It's like Christmas once a month!

    1. Thank you! I try to work out every single day, and spinning & yoga are my favorites. I heard the 30 day shred is fabulous.

And Ipsy is SO MUCH like a monthly Christmas! I use those little bags for everything too; one day I sent my 6yo son to school with his snack packed up in a glambag ;)

    1. I completely recommend them! I've been a subscriber since the beginning and there has only been maybe 1 or 2 bags I was unhappy with, and that was mainly only because I had gotten duplicates of something I already owned (which really is ok, because they make excellent purse products). I had BirchBox for a long time previously and I prefer Ipsy 100%.
