Storytime at the Library

One of the perks of Clay's job, and of which there are many, is that he will occasionally get asked to host a library story time.  This story time was especially special, because it was our hometown library.

A little backstory: way way a long time ago, before computers and Harry Potter, there were land-line phones and another Harry who battled a terrible two-headed whatzit. And little boy Clay loved the story of Harry and the Terrible Whatzit so much, that he would often call his hometown library's hotline to hear a recorded version told over the land-line phone (who even knew such a thing as recorded stories told over a phone even existed??).

Now fast forward a hundred years and guess what story Clay was asked to read at today? Yup, Harry and his Whatzit.  So this story time was even more especially special :)

Now I don't know if you've ever had the honor of listening to Clay tell a story, but it's great. He's animated and pauses in all the right spots and creates the best voices for the characters, and he's just an overall great storyteller. The kids listened with rapt attention and afterward they got to create their own terrible whatzit.
